Educational Services

    Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta has an on-site school accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission with certified teachers who have been trained to assist with educational goals. Patients may be asked to participate in the development or update of an Individual Education Plan (IEP) that functions like their Individual Treatment Plan, but focuses on educational or vocational goal attainment. The facility also offers a GED track for patients wishing to pursue this avenue of education. Independent living skills are also a part of the program.

Physicians are on the medical staff of Lighthouse Care Center, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Lighthouse Care Center. The facility shall not be liable for actions or treatments provided by physicians.
